Wagman

Roebling Bridge

Location Connecting SR 590 in Pike County, Pennsylvania to SR 97 in Sullivan County, New York

Completion September 2005
Description G.A. & F.C. Wagman, Inc. replaced an existing micro-silica overly with a new Latex Modified Concrete overlay on the historic Roebling Bridge. This bridge is the sole survivor of four suspension aqueducts built by John A. Roebling (who later designed the Brooklyn Bridge). It was originally built in 1848 to carry the Delaware and Hudson Canal across the Delaware River and was later converted to a vehicular bridge after the demise of the canal. We are proud to have been chosen to protect this National Civil Engineering Landmark.
